Chambray is all over the place this season, well it is every season, but this season it seems to be center stage.  You aren't fond of a denim on denim look, so chambray isn't on your shopping list, but there are so many other things to pair with it!

The Cure: Chambray Chic

There is nothing better to pair the faded, soft, worn denim with than white, whether shorts, pants, or crops, the combo is clearly classic.  Roll up your sleeves and style it with layers of chunky jewelry and don't be shy, the more the merrier.  Keep the rest of the look clean with a simple sandal and sunglasses. Sashay in your chambray till your hearts content!

With the temperatures constantly on the rise the last thing you want is to feel uncomfortable in your clothes. You know the "less is more" approach is key, but you've got to keep it office appropriate, so what is the look you should go for?

The Cure:

Light colors and light fabrics should be the foundation of this outfit.  Choose a light-weight cotton skirt that hits right above the knees. I recommend a silhouette that flows away from the body. When it comes to the top, a cap sleeved loose fitting blouse is perfect.  Mix up the look with color and texture and pair with a great neutral, heeled summer sandal.  You won't feel hot, but your look could ignite a flame!

When choosing wedding guest wear always remember a few simple rules, don't wear white, it's the bride's day and don't wear black (unless the event is black tie), you're not at a funeral. Personally I like a print in a simple silhouette, or something with color and texture. You don't want to stick out, but you don't want to blend in either. Depending on day or night accessorize appropriately and prepare to dance your heart out!

I adore flats in the summer time, such a great go to shoe because they adapt to just about everything in your closet.  My favorite is to pair them with boyfriend jeans for a little feminine touch. I've discovered the most adorable pair from Giuseppe Zanotti that I want, no NEED, to add to my collection.  Basic, but bedecked with texture in a printed leather, this round toe ballet flat is a great "go-to", what's not so great is the $495 sticker shock.

A black tank maxi is a great basic piece to have in your wardrobe, easily dressed up or down and can transition through just about any season.  To go for something right in the middle, pair the dress with bold jewelry and tone it down just a not with the simplicity of your Gigi's.  You'll fit right in at just about any occasion!

It's sandal season and if you're building your summer white wardrobe you will want to add the perfect little seasonal sandal to the mix.  Consider for yourself the Christian Louboutin Flanana, this t-strap, thong sandal with espadrille bottom is simple, smart, and perfectly paired with anything summery. While it may be smart in a stylish way it certainly won't be your wisest purchase as they retail for $450.

Summer Whites

There is nothing I like more in the summer time than summer whites! Whether head to toe or one main piece nothing looks more crisp and cool against a summer background.

Keep your summer whites light and airy with fabric and texture, cotton, linen, and crochet are definite must haves.  Also don't be afraid to blend bright whites and off-whites together, because they're in the same color family it still works and creates subtle contrast in your look!

The Cure: Blank Slate

The simplest, most classic, look is a white silk tank and a pair of skinnies!  I've chosen a silk tank because it's easier to dress up than something cotton, and while they may not be perfect for heat, skinnies are the sexiest cut of denim out there.  With this as your palette accessorize till your heart is content.  For something fun and casual choose a colorful scarf, clutch, and flats, for something a little more upscale layer on the jewelry and don a sexy pair of pumps.  Regardless what you add you can't go wrong!
