Fashion Rx: Your weekly dose of what to wear!

So the weather is getting warmer and you are looking to bear more skin, but that's not always work appropriate.  What's a girl to do?

The Cure: The short and short of it...

So I'm going to offer a suggestion and I just want you to keep an open mind.  Have you ever considered a work short? A bit longer than a short short and a bit shorter than a bermuda short and much more tailored than both, this item is totally office A-okay and incredibly versatile.  I've chosen a nautical like look with a scoop neck striped top and a fab pair of heeled sandals, but you could pair with a camisole and blazer, or a more tailored blouse, or...well the possibilities are endless. So go ahead a show some skin in a safe and stylish way!

Fashion Rx: Your weekly dose of what to wear!

If you're anything like me than you're already thinking about transitioning your wardrobe to shorter sleeves, shorter dresses, and well just about anything shorter in length.  It might not be warm enough to loose all that length but that doesn't mean you should skimp on style.  Loosing a little goes a long way, so how do you transition and stay on trend?

The Cure: The Short and Long of it...

A short-sleeved striped maxi dress is a great way to loose a little length and still dress for the weather.  A light weight jacket provides a layer of warmth if needed.  Add a statement pendant to add interest and a great casual leather loafer to nod to nautical stylings.

Sail Away With Style

This trend is here to stay and perfect for spring and summer. This classic beachy bliss is characterized with stripes, anchors, and sailoresque red white and blues.

Nautical goes beyond the striped shirt, look for a blazer with gorgeous gold buttons to top a solid pair of navy or white bottoms. Throw red in here and there, maybe incorporate yellow for a sunny spin.  Keep it simple and choose one item as your main statement and balance your stripes with solids. Ride this fashion wave this season.
