Fantasy Fashion Becomes Reality

So you've finally decided to move on from the Ugg boots to something a bit more sophisticated, but it's important to find something shearling lined to keep your feet toasty and warm.  Let me introduce to you Jimmy Choo's suede shearling lined boot, the best way to beat your winter blues! This suede boot, with an optional plush cuff and simple styling, will take you all the way to spring.  But start thawing that emergency credit card now, these will set you back $1,195.

Jimmy Choo

I can keep you in suede if you're willing to swap shearling for fleece and ensure you a cozy, comfortable winter for your feet. Timberlands Earthkeeper's Avery boot is good for the wallet and your conscious.  The suede is fully waterproof (can't say that for Jimmy Choo) and the fleece is partially recycled, making this shoe not only fashion forward but eco-conscious.  The price...right now just $143!

Pining for Prints

I don't know about you, but I currently have a holiday hangover! Now is the time between Christmas and New Years to enjoy all of your new fashionable goodies, but in a much more casual state before the big bash!

Take a simple trend, like a great winter print and run wild, but keep it simple. How do you manage that? Go for a bold and bright print that really stands out, but keep everything else subdued. This winter most prints are echoing fabulous florals, perhaps in anticipation for spring and new blooms.  Choose a great printed blouse, a great pair of jeans, a great pair of shoes and you should be good to go!

With-it Wilderness

Have you seen snow yet? Maybe you have maybe you haven't but it may be high time to break out the parka.  That big bulky coat does so much for your figure right?  Well it is possible to have a look that keeps you heated and looking hot!

First and foremost this is not a look for the office, there is a reason these pieces are outdoorsy, consider this for running around on the weekends.  If you know it's going to be cold and you'll be spending a great deal of time outdoors, don't be afraid to layer.  If it's a quick jaunt from the car to the boutique, maybe just one rugged accessory will do.   Fairisle and cable-knit are great patterns and texture, but have  the down fall of appearing bulky, make sure to balance with dark solid clothing, skinny jeans and leggings work best.  The best part of this look...the boots, you can't go wrong no matter what you choose!

Fashion Rx: Your weekly dose of what to wear!

It's Friday, YAY, and you are ready to hit up happy hour right after work.  Your friends want to meet up downtown, your office is in midtown, and your place in is uptown...no time to rush home and change out of the office attire and into something more weekend appropriate.  Never fear, I've got a cure for you!

The Cure : FriDAY to NIGHT:

By pre-packing a few strategic pieces it's easy to go from day to night.  Start with a simple black day dress.  Make it office appropriate by adding a cardigan, and give it some style with a belt and boots.  When it's time to leave the office, ditch the belt and cardigan and throw on your faux fur vest. By switching just one piece you have a totally different look that is great for going out!  If you want to take it one step further, don't forget a great pair of stiletto booties!

Fantasy Fashion Becomes Reality

How many of you flip through fashion magazines, check out the looks of your favorite celebrities and say to yourself "I wish I had their budgets", or "I could totally rock an outfit like that", but chances are you don't have the same shopping options as celebrities do.  One of my favorite things is seeing a picture of a celebrity and KNOWING that the look is totally in reach.  That is in fact what happened when I saw this picture of Ashley Green.

Ashely's grunge chic airport style is made complete with the Lucille boot from Timberland, which we totally have in stock!!! The military inspired two toned look has that little bit of extra to give your look an edge.  For a luscious leather boot this is totally budget friendly, at just $297 you too can give your style some grunge chic!

Fantasy Fashion Becomes Reality

So boot season is finally here!!! I kicked it off by wearing a pair last weekend as I was on the hunt for a brand new pair. Shopoholics anonymous here I come.  On my quest I did find an absolutely astounding pair of Prada riding boots.  This slip on style with a round toe and ankle buckle in gold that compliments the warm brown leather was like butter and I was ready to slather it all over my feet until I saw that these beautiful riding boots cost $1,350. The hunt continues...
Prada, $1,350
I did not lose hope for I found another great riding boot with a price that leaves me with cash to spare!
Timberland's Bethel Buckle is a bit more rugged in its styling but the added bonus is that this shoe is made to be environmentally friendly.  I just love the buckle around the ankle (the key accent) and the notched strap at the top.  Gold and brown blend together beautifully making this a great affordable choice, just $186!
