The Cure: The short and short of it...

So I'm going to offer a suggestion and I just want you to keep an open mind.  Have you ever considered a work short? A bit longer than a short short and a bit shorter than a bermuda short and much more tailored than both, this item is totally office A-okay and incredibly versatile.  I've chosen a nautical like look with a scoop neck striped top and a fab pair of heeled sandals, but you could pair with a camisole and blazer, or a more tailored blouse, or...well the possibilities are endless. So go ahead a show some skin in a safe and stylish way!

When women hear the color peach they normally cringe, but the soft concoction of pale orange and a light rose is really quite lovely.  According to InStyle magazine,

Do you ever have those days when you walk into your closet and stand there for at least five minutes, saying to yourself "I have nothing to wear"? Days where you just feel uninspired with your clothes?  As a common occurrence among women I think there are two solutions, one, go buy new clothes, or two, get creative.  How can you re-invent the wardrobe you already own?

The Cure: Mix and Match

Do not be afraid to put together pieces you would have never thought about putting together before!  Yes while this may take some trial and error, as long as you have the time to spare why not experiment?!? For example, pair a lady like jacket with cut-off shorts.  Never thought about that one did you? But it looks super put-together once you put it together.  My advice for a successful look, take one dressed up piece, one dressed down piece, add some basics, choose a fabulous shoe that falls somewhere in the middle of the dressy range and see what you come up with.  What's the worst that can happen? Try something, it doesn't work, switch a piece out, you just may surprise yourself.

Side Effects: Test drive an outfit by sending a pic to a friend, if they don't approve, don't leave the house, it's back to the drawing board for you!

The ever trendy nautical nuances in fashion are making themselves known again.  Reds and blues, stripes and plaids, and even creatures from the sea are starting to make waves.

Easy to incorporate into any wardrobe, keep the color palette patriotic, highlighting white and blue especially.  Not into inspirations a la the American flag? Focus more on grey and white, throwing in either a dab of blue or a spot of red.  Stick with stripe patterns either thick or thin and accessorize with woven bags, espadrille wedges and sailing inspired jewelry.
