As new things are starting to make their appearances in stores you are feeling a bit excited. You want to take one of spring's trends out for a spin but are apprehensive about going taking the corner at too fast a pace. Patterns are becoming bolder, colors brighter, hems longer, and waistlines higher, in which direction do you go?
The Cure: Rising Waistlines
When the fit is right and there aren't any cargo front pockets and cheetah print belts to draw attention to potential problem areas (a la Jessica Simpson mom jeans) a high waisted trouser jean is incredibly flattering, classic, and chic. Go for a tailored look with a crisp white button down shirt, tucked in and belted, a chunky statement necklace, and black suede wedges or try a more girly look with a printed dolman top, gold hoop earrings, and a great platform pump. With the right pair of jeans, the possibilities are endless.
Side Effect: I can not caution you enough about how important it is to find the right style and fit for a high waisted trouser jean, I don't think the world of fashion can handle another Jessica Simpson like faux pas.

Color Combo Craze
Want to know how to bring your wardrobe out of its winter wear blues? Try brightening up your day with a fresh and fierce color combination, poppy orange with pale pink. I know what you might be thinking, but designers like Derek Lam, Jenni Kayne, and Matthew Williamson embraced it on the runway. Lucky Magazine suggests anchoring your outfit with the darker hue and incorporating textured and drapey white elements. Go neutral with shoes and accessories.

Fantasy Fashion Becomes Reality
I like my basics to have a little bit of an edge, so long as it's appropriate. If I can get away with it I'll wear a platform pump over a standard pump any day! Does that sound crazy? Probably! I am someone that willingly sacrifices comfort for style. I'm not the only one who thinks this way. Christian Louboutin once said,
And yet, thanks to the creative team at ZiGiny I can save my salacious splurge for a slightly more spectacular pair. The stunning platform pump from ZiGiny has the same basic beautiful silhouette for a beautiful bargain. At just $142 I get a sky-high brazen basic that satisfies my need for the something special. Comfort factor? I wore these all day wine-tasting and am happy to report that my toes were still tickled pink by the end of the day. Can't beat stunning style and a pleasing price tag.
“I would hate for someone to look at my shoe and say, 'Oh my God! That looks so comfortable!' That's not what I want to project. But I'm not a sadist. I don't believe suffering makes you beautiful. But comfort is not part of my creative process".When the day comes that I finally invest in a coveted pair of the famous red soles it could potentially be a shoe like the "Bianca". The leather taper toe platform pump in a delicious caramel is a shoe that can be dressed up or down and can be taken from the office to a night out. Simple, sophisticated and a solid investment!

Brian Atwood $660 |
Do you believe in love at first sight? I knew it was possible the split second I laid my eyes on these nude patent pumps from Brian Atwood. This hot hue is seriously sought after and when you find "the one" you know you can't let them get away. That is until $660 gets in the way of you and your happily ever after.
Price is most often the trickiest obstacle to overcome, unless you have another great option! This pair of nude patent pumps from ZiGi ny is only $142. With its exposed platform and sleeker heel it easily rivals the sexiness of the Atwood pump. Don't let these out of your sight!
