Fashion Rx: Your weekly dose of what to wear!

It's party time and you want to make a statement but you don't know how strong.  Can you start with a pinch and later decide if you want to really add some punch? Of course! That's what is so great about one of this season's sparkly trends!

The Cure: Start Small

A cropped black pant, simple white silk tank, embellished lapel blazer, and a pop of color with a great Sam Edelman party pump is a superb way to start. You've got  your sparkle and shine, a pop of color, and a tasteful ensemble that isn't over the top.

Second Opinion: BAM! Kick it up a notch

Obviously start with a cocktail dress that has it's own subtle sparkle, create interest with a sequined cardigan, play up the shine with patent platforms, and add your pop of color with a beaded clutch...if you're worried this is a little monochromatic, consider playing with textures and the level of shine.  You want to stand out, but not be outlandish.
